Bec Winnel

Bec Winnel has remained my demi-god. I've always been inspired by her illustrations.

It's been a while since I've last written in this blog. In fact, I've also missed its first birthday, and I was sort of sad about it. I'm going to renovate this site (I can't seem to find the perfect word, but I hope it'll work.) so it won't die. If you know what I mean. Heh heh. And I have a lot of school works to do. After this semester I'm going to put my full attention in this blog. Forgive me. Anyway, am I going to see you around again? If so, it makes me so happy.

See you around again, lovelies.

My sister and I found a wounded bird (he seems to be struck by a slingshot.) in our little living area upstairs, and we were perplexed to keep him until he's well or not . But the rub is, HOW? We didn't know how, so my sister and I decided to let him go. After an hour, I still see him, still could not flutter his right wing, and my heart melted.

Arabic Calligraphy

Arabic Calligraphy by Zak

Today in Philosophy class I saw Arabic writings on the board. I wonder what it means until the teacher noticed me that I was staring at it for almost five minutes! I was amazed and studied the writings carefully. I wonder how the person wrote it. Or maybe he or she is already used to it. It inspires me a lot. I got to know more of their practices and traditions in the internet albeit I'm not one of them. But two days ago, my friends and I went to a Syrian coffeeshop along Ponciano Street and there were books and small maps of different countries which majority of the people practice Islam. Indeed, Muslims are rich in customs and traditions.

Featured: Ubec Crew

I should've posted this entry on the 24th or 25th of December. But do you still remember the entry I've posted about Sorekolektiv? In connection with that, Ubec Crew members Flaime (color), Bart (stencil), and Karingkay (lines) just made another wall art somewhere here in Cebu. Though I wasn't there when this happened but I was able to see them again after 7 months. And got the time to visit The Junk Shop also owned by them. I'll post some of the pictures about the activities I had here in Cebu soon!

P.S. In the bottom photo (from left to right) is Bart and then Karingkay.

Happy New Year ♥

Womb of Queen Flora

I think this is the series #2 of Lilitus' Queen Clandestine Flora which portrays her gestation. I love the painting's details. Lilitus is indeed prolific.

P.S. I miss my sketch pad. I haven't touched it after I made the illustration: Velveteen

Teacup Attack

A Russian woman threw a teacup at Leonardo Da Vinci's masterpiece last August 10, 2009. The said painting was undamaged due to bullet proof glasses that surrounds it.

The culprit was handed over to the police and then transferred to the psychiatric infirmary.

Several people were trying to devastate the painting but never succeeded.
