Ooh la love

The face behind the... by Karin Elizabeth, Barcelona.

Karin Elizabeth's series of the face behind the... was inspired by Rene Magritte (one of my favourite surreal painter.). When I was still in middle school, I also wanted to take photographs like these but I was not able to. Though, I experimented but it was quite uninteresting.

P.S. I am currently working on my painting for art exhibit. I hope I can finish it ahead of deadline.

Arabic Calligraphy

Arabic Calligraphy by Zak

Today in Philosophy class I saw Arabic writings on the board. I wonder what it means until the teacher noticed me that I was staring at it for almost five minutes! I was amazed and studied the writings carefully. I wonder how the person wrote it. Or maybe he or she is already used to it. It inspires me a lot. I got to know more of their practices and traditions in the internet albeit I'm not one of them. But two days ago, my friends and I went to a Syrian coffeeshop along Ponciano Street and there were books and small maps of different countries which majority of the people practice Islam. Indeed, Muslims are rich in customs and traditions.

Matilda

Everyone is born, but not everyone is born the same. Some will grow to be butchers, or bakers, or candlestick makers. Some will only be really good at making Jell-O salad. One way or another, though, every human being is unique, for better or for worse.
{Matilda 1996}

P.S. I need more inspiration. Please give me some.

Good Morning, blog readers! Reminders are from Kris Bradley. They're sooo simple yet lovely!
Uhm, I need to change the URL from loucieee.blogspot.com to underthethespiansky.blogspot.com because I've come to realize that this site became more of a personal blog. I just want to remind you all that there will be changes :) I will feature people, shops, artists, bloggers, photographers and many more. And I need not to spill another emotional crap on this site again. I find it too embarrassing. That's all. Thank you.

It has been a week since I promised to post pictures. A friend took gazillion photos but I only chose those pictures above to represent every activity we had. A friend and I was really astonished when we visited a thrift shop. Imagine? A piece of clothing for only 1 Peso! That's a real bargain!

I wanna give credits to Rona for sending me an SMS that she's looking forward for me to post the pictures in this site.

featured blogger: Life is a Canvas

Hi. I'm back in Davao. I never had any sleep last night like I was really floating in the airport. I was like, "Hey, wake up!" I'm going to miss my friends there and my family. But I was delighted to behold the summit of Mount Apo, the panoramic view of the Philippine Deep and the dolphins dancing in the sea. I don't know when will I be coming back to Cebu because I'm planning to take summer classes but I really can't afford not to spend holy week in the island of Bantayan. I am really looking forward to that. I hope I can get over with it.
Anyway, How was your new year?

P.S. I found that lovely picture above somewhere in the information highway but I couldn't find the links for the credit.
